Geography
Level 1: Areas of study include environments that have been shaped by extreme natural events such as an earthquake. Geographic skills are introduced.
Field Trips taken at level 1 support the first two internal assessments. These include a trip to Hanmer Springs and a visit to Waikari.
Level 2: Areas of study include Natural Landscapes and more specifically the South Island High Country, as well as strengthening Geographic skills introduced at Level 1.
Field Trips taken are dependent on our chosen area for research.
Level 3; Areas of study include Natural Processes and as a Case Study we look at the Hurunui River. Geographic skills are also still a focus.
